Overview

The Julian Rachlin and Friends Festival is an annual two-week event held in late August/September in Dubrovnik, Croatia, which serves as a platform for creative and vibrant projects with today’s leading musicians and actors.  The UNESCO World Heritage city of Dubrovnik has hosted the Festival since 2001. Regular guests include Janine Jansen, Mischa Maisky, Itamar Golan, Igudesman & Joo, Sir Roger Moore and John Malkovich.

11th Julian Rachlin & Friends Festival Highlights

Zubin Mehta conducted the Belgrade Philharmonic, which performed for the first time in Croatia since the recent Serbian/Croatian war. Additional guests included The Kremerata Baltica, Martin Grubinger, Igudesman and Joo, David Aaron Carpenter, Florian Boesch, Dame Felicity Lott and Mischa Maisky, among others. The festival’s second “Unicef Soccer Gala” took place with the participation of former FC Barcelona players. Videos from the live concerts will be available soon.
